About the Father's Day 8K:
The 4th annual Father's Day 8K will be run on a flat and fast out-and-back course along the C&O Canal Towpath. The first 300 participants will be provided a technical race shirt, and awards will be given out at the post-race celebration to the top 3 M/F overall, the top M/F in each 10-year age group, and the top Father-Son and Father-Daughter teams. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to enter the father-child team competitions. There will also be a Kid's Kilometer Fun Run just after the race start, and all kids will receive a prize from our sponsor, Thomas Sweet Ice Cream. All children must be entered using a registration form with a parent's or guardian's signature.
After the race, enjoy refreshments from our featured sponsors. Awards will be given out, and the Men's Health Week Campaign will provide useful information. Additionally, all race participants are invited to a happy hour at nearby Chadwick's.
