About the Father's Day 8K:
The Race
The 4th annual Father's Day 8K will be run on a flat and fast out-and-back course along the C&O Canal Towpath. The first 300 participants will be provided a technical race shirt, and awards will be given out at the post-race celebration to the top 3 M/F overall, the top M/F in each 10-year age group, and the top Father-Son and Father-Daughter teams. Email fathersday8k@gmail.com to enter the father-child team competitions. There will also be a Kid's Kilometer Fun Run just after the race start, and all kids will receive a prize from our sponsor, Thomas Sweet Ice Cream. All children must be entered using a registration form with a parent's or guardian's signature.
